My old friends.
Right?
They used to be my old friends.
Then I went to see them and they were divorced which wasn't my fault. I had nothing to do with it, but even so, they seemed to think that I deserved to be subjected to a blistering tirade of an endless barrage of tales of woe about the break up of their marriages.
While one part of me wanted to say, "I don't really care about this." another part said, "Oh, really? That must have been really bad for you."
So I listened to this for two days and after we parted company they said, "Hey, let's keep in touch."
And I said, "Hey. Yeah. Let's do that!"
But I was lying. I hope I never see them again as long as I live
