"Michael, do you know anywhere that sells cheap candles?" said Jenniffer.
"Yeah. The 50p shop."
"The 50p shop?"
"Yeah." The 50p shop was famous in Liverpool. It was a shop where everything was 50p.
"Really? The 50p shop? They sell candles?"
"Yeah. They've got loads."
"For 50p?"
"Well. Yeah."
"Artists' candles?"
"Well, I don't know. Just general purpose candles. They've got all different sizes and shapes."
"Are they stretched or rolled?"
"What do you mean?"
"Is the candles stretched or rolled?"
"Don't you mean are the candles stretched or rolled?"
"What?"
"What are stretched and rolled candles anyway?"
"Like stretched on a frame and primed with gesso, or just in a roll."
"Oh. Canvas."
"Yeah. Is that not what we've been talking about?"
"Sorry. I thought you said candles."
"Oh. Right. So they don't sell canvas?"
"No. They don't."
